Third time we come to this house and still very charmed. The setting of it is perfect; greenest part of the greenest island. The house has a private”mountain-pass” shaped path and has an OUTSTANDING view on Alonissos. Nice refreshing pool and sun beds for an unforgettable afternoon. The inside of the house is well equipped for the affordable price: beautiful shower, open kitchen, comfy living room with the view, nice place to eat outside and bedrooms for a good sleep. At only 15 minutes by car from Skopelos town, it is easy to go and drink a café frappé or go to a taverna, especially when the trip there is green and peacful. This house is surrounded by a garden inhabited by a hammock. Andonis and his family is adorable; they come and check the house everyday and are very nice and they are free to give you tips to visit the island…… Welcome home!

Dear Andonis,

Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our holiday in August 2013 in your Delfi cottage. The place where the house is located is fantastic and we really enjoyed the peaceful, quiet and tranquil environment. The house is very clean and comfortable and we all (2 adults and 2 kids) enjoyed the house, the swimming pool, and the fantastic sea view.

Thank you to you and your and family for your great hospitality. You are great hosts and your service and support is outstanding and was highly appreciated. We loved the plum jam which was made and provided by your mother.

A vehicle is necessary and we used two scooters in order to explore the wonderful island.

We would most certainly recommend your villas to anyone considering looking for a tranquil environment and countryside.

We will certainly visit again in the future.

Hi Andonis, we have just returned from a wonderful holiday in Greece, a week of which was spent at Delfi Villa in Skopelos. The island and villa completely surpassed our expectations. The photos cannot do them justice. They are breath taking and we felt like we had landed in paradise. Your parents were so welcoming and shared some of their produce that they grow with us. My 2 boys loved swimming and playing and feeding the resident cat and her kittens. We loved lying in the hammock and listening to the distant sounds of the goat bells. The villa was well equipped and so clean. Skopelos was amazing. We went late June, so it was not too busy. It was easy to explore the Island, and the boys loved the twisty, turney roads that brought squeals of despair from their mother. It was a holiday of a life time, and I can say that Skopelos was the highlight.

Our journey to Skopelos went very smoothly and arrived in Skopelos town a bit earlier than we planned, but were immediately welcomed by the warm and friendly people at Magic Cars. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble, and before we knew it our island adventure had started as we followed the owner’s son out of town and up into the hills. We were met by Andonis’s parents at Villa Delfi, who are so charming. They showed us around the beautiful, spacious villa.

We couldn’t believe it because it was even better than the pictures and the view literally took our breath away. After unwinding for a little we were back into the car and down to Skopelos town for our first delicious evening meal. The town is so pretty with the trees and tavernas all strung with twinkling lights.

We certainly slept well that night and awoke to the stunning promised view over the mountains and seas to Alonissos.

Over the course of the week we explored the island and visited beaches at Glysteris, Staphilos, Milia, Panormas, (Keith’s favourite) and Agnontas (my favourite, completely unchanged from my last visit, nearly 30 years ago!) We also strolled the

streets of Glossa and sat and watched a ferry come in while we relaxed at a lovely taverna down at Loutraki. A little embarrassed to say that we did drive out to Aghios Ioannis for the Mamma Mia chapel – well you have to don’t you!!

We indulged ourselves by trying a different taverna almost every day or evening. We loved the cuisine at Agnanti in Glossa ,

the sophistication of Anna’s in the town, and the many other traditional tavernas that we tried along the harbour in Skopelos.

We remember most:

Sitting on the terraces simply listening to the birdsong and enjoying the view.

A dip in the pool.

Star gazing with the telescope.

The sunrise.

The amazing variety of things that can be carried on a motorbike, children, shopping, pots

of paint, a ladder and… a bride and groom – see next on list!

Seeing a wedding procession on Saturday evening in town, a cavalcade of revving motorbikes with

beautiful bride and groom leading the way.

Enjoying a cold beer at midday.

And a cold ice-cream at the end of the day.

The warmth and friendliness of the islanders.

The villa is in beautiful location with fantastic views and only the sound of birds and occasional goat.

This is perfect location for anyone wanting a truly relaxing break from their busy life; a jeep makes ideal touring and getting up the mountain side to this beautiful villa. We stayed in the Delfi Villa, it was first class and it was cleaned every two day. The pool checked and cleaned regularly.

We found Andonis was extremely helpful nothing was too much trouble for him.

Most mornings we woke and could lie in bed watching the beautiful sunrise over the Isle of Alonissos

When we went down to Skopelos town, we saw regularly a local farmer with his mules with milk canisters strap to their sides working their way up the mountain.

On our touring round the island we had many surprises arriving in places totally different to where we thought including finding mountain roads that didn’t exist on any map. It was great fun including suddenly having to suddenly stop as goats had blocked the road.

The beauty of the location of Delfi and Sendoukia villas they are fairly central to the island and once you’ve learned the mountain roads it was very easy to get to other parts of the island.

To sum it up we had a fantastic holiday on Skopelos and thank you Andonis for the top class villa of Delfi.

Sorry it has taken us so leave to leave a message, it has taken us that long to wind up again!!! Just wanted to say how much we all enjoyed our holiday in June. Thankyou to you and your and family for your hospitality, the fruit and veg from your father was very much appreciated.

We would most certainly recommend your villas to anyone considering staying, they were comfortable,clean and in the most perfect position (even if the drive up to them was a bit of a thrill!). The views were amazing, very easy to wile away the days, day dreaming and listening to the goats bells in the distance.

We will ceratinly visit again in the future.

Wir waren wieder hier, zwei Wochen, Ende Mai bis Anfang Juni! Und es war noch schöner als im letzten Jahr. Wenn es in Griechenland eine Krise gibt, hat sie diesen Ort noch nicht erreicht. Die Vögel singen nach wie vor, die Sonne scheint, die Blumen blühen und das Wasser in Meer und Pool lädt permanent zum Schwimmen ein. Die Herzlichkeit von Andonis und seinen Eltern runden das ganze ab und geben einem das sichere Gefühl am richtigen Ort zu sein.

We stayed a week in Delfi and Sendoukia cottages in july 2011. It was an excellent choice for two families to spend a relaxed holiday together. It is difficult to say which cottage is nicer, they are both beautiful and cosy with different characters. The view from the cottages is one of the most beautiful ones we have ever enjoyed. The pools were clean and refreshing and we really enjoyed the outdoor areas altogether. We had read about the wasps and we saw them but they did not bother us. A car is a must, preferably a 4×4, but we were ok with a regular one. It was a 15 minute drive to the town or to Glysteri beach, which was actually the beach we liked best because of its tranquility and superb taverna. We were looking for beautiful landscapes and sunshine in a quiet country setting and The Karya Country Espaces offered all that and more. A special thanks goes to the owner Andonis!

We spent 9 days in June 2011. Ample room for 2 couples. Superb patio and spotless large pool which Andonis and family regularly maintained. House was well equipped and serviced after a few days. Enjoyed the peace and quiet of the hilly countryside, and lounging around the pool, taking in the views was always very relaxing. A car is necessary and our little 4 wheel drive was excellent. Drive down to town took approx. 20mins, and access to other parts of island was not too difficult. Service from Andonis was outstanding, he met the ferry late at night, helped with luggage and directions and any requests was never a problem. Can highly recommend.

PS Only downside – Mama Mia DVD was faulty !!!

Zwei perfekte Wochen zu dritt auf einer der schönsten Inseln dere Ägäis. Allein das Panorama von der Terrasse aus, mit ständig wechselnden Licht- und Farbspielen zaubert einem ein Lächeln ins Gesicht. Hinzu kommt der Gesang der Nachtigallen und das frische Quellwasser aus der Nähe … Das Haus ist gut gepflegt und mit viel Liebe gebaut und eingerichtet. Andonis und seine Eltern stehen bei Bedarf mit Rat und Tat zur Seite. Der Pool wird regelmäßig gereinigt. Als Mietwagen empfehlen wir unbedingt ein 4×4-Fahrzeug, weil die schöneren Straßen nicht befestigt sind.

Wir kommen wieder! Bruno, Sabine, Ute
